Wedding invitations must be carefully planned, written and printed. This is because these are sent to all near and dear ones and set a mood for the wedding. There are certain etiquettes that need to be followed when writing invitations for a wedding. Following these etiquettes ensures that the best invitation wordings are selected and the invitation is free from all types of mistakes or errors.
The first thing that must appear in wedding invitations is the name of the hosts. This is generally the name of the parents of the bride or the groom, depending on from whose side the invitation is being extended. The next is the request to the guests for attending the ceremony. Next is the name of the bride and the groom followed by the date of the wedding, the place where the ceremony is being hosted along with the complete address and the time. In case the wedding is followed by a reception, it must be mentioned in the invitation along with the time for the party. RSVP is also added to the invitations so that the guests have an option of responding the invitation.
In addition to the above details, the invitation may also include some quotes, poems and may even be decorated.
The wedding invitation font and the size of the font must be so selected that all the necessary details can fit in the invitation in an appropriate manner. This means that the size of the font must be in proportion to the size of the card so that the card does not look overdone.
